What is a Side CRNA Program?

A side CRNA program is a type of nurse anesthetist training program that allows nurses to complete their coursework and clinical training on a part-time basis. This type of program is ideal for working nurses who want to further their career without having to sacrifice their current job or income.

The side CRNA program typically takes between two and four years to complete, depending on the school and the student’s schedule. During this time, students take classes online or through a hybrid format of online and in-person instruction. They also complete clinical rotations at local hospitals or surgery centers.

After completing the program, students are eligible to take the national certification exam to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Once they pass the exam, they can begin working in their new career.

If you are a working nurse who is interested in becoming a CRNA, a side CRNA program may be the right option for you.
